THE MODERN LIVING FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH · FOOD KNOWLEDGE
A food is never
just one thing.
Find a food. Explore a body system. Investigate a health question—and the world behind the meal.
One connected path: red foods → heart & circulation → tomatoes
RED FOODS → HEART & CIRCULATION → TOMATOES → HEALTH EVIDENCE → RELATED RECIPES
This is one reviewed discovery path. Tomato nutrient composition supports the physiology links; red color does not assign foods to the heart or establish disease prevention. Start with any food, system or health question.
29 exact preparations have reviewed body-system and health-topic connections. These are research paths, not foods prescribed for a condition. Color selection is optional.
Cardiovascular disease
Human clinical evidence · DASH trials support blood-pressure and LDL-cholesterol effects of a dietary pattern. Those risk-factor results are different from proving that a particular food prevents a heart attack.
The food links are examples for investigating a dietary pattern, not tested cardiovascular treatments.

What these numbers mean.
A food profile is a particular preparation in USDA’s SR Legacy reference dataset. A nutrient record is one reported food–nutrient amount, including reported zeros. These are not 142,336 health claims or clinical studies.
Source: April 2018 final SR Legacy. Imported October 15, 2026. Values are reference composition per 100 g edible portion, with available USDA household portions. Fresh, dried, cooked, salted and fortified forms remain distinct; missing values remain missing.
Plant-focused groups include herbs and spices, fruit, vegetables, nuts and seeds, legumes, grains and pasta. Some prepared products contain other ingredients. Color tags are an editorial guide to food families and appearance; actual cultivars and preparations vary.
